Post Christmas party (1930) Luke Saunders, still
under the influence, banged on his boss's office door. |
Everybody likes to laugh at jokes. Every country and society in the world contains some form of humour that is apparent in its culture. Humour and laughter are ways of breaking down barriers and bringing people together. The idea of the joke on this page is to show how important it is to create empathy with any prospective customer. Empathy is a determining factor in any sale. It is a general truth that people tend to buy from people that they like. People generally like others that have the same thoughts and feelings as they do. Whether you laughed out loud at the joke or not, you understood the basis of the joke. Therefore, you have something in common with everybody else who understood the joke, as well as the person telling the joke. You have a shared experience. Part of the skill in any sales situation is to be able to create empathy with the person that you are selling to. By creating empathy you are breaking down the barriers and helping to smooth the path to a successful sale. At Requite Ltd our sales processes are designed to help you create a common bond between you and your clients. It is our aim to help you break down the barriers to a sale and help your customers to understand your message more clearly. Likewise our training solutions are designed to develop a bond between your sales staff and your company. We understand the importance of having a common goal and a common message. |
